  Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Fayetteville-Manlius Soccer Club is to provide the children of the Fayetteville-Manlius community with an opportunity to learn about and develop the skills necessary to play the sport of soccer in an atmosphere of fun and good sportsmanship.

Over fifteen years ago a group of parents and soccer fans decided that the FM community should have recreational soccer opportunities for their children and the other children in town, in hopes of fostering the love of the sport. They organized the Fayetteville-Manlius Soccer Club and soon were offering recreational soccer opportunities during both the fall and spring seasons. Out of the recreational program came FM Travel Soccer, which provides more competitive opportunities for players who want to “take it up a notch.” Many of those early players have gone on to play varsity soccer in high school and continued to play throughout college. It is no secret in Central New York that the Fayetteville-Manlius High School soccer teams continue to be very strong forces.

Over the past several years, the FM Soccer Club has grown to its current size of 1200+ players per season, which includes both the Recreational and Travel Programs.

Player Eligibility:

The FM Soccer Club encourages players of all capabilities to learn, play, and love the game of soccer.  We offer two distinct opportunities for players; the Recreation League, which provides playing opportunities from Kindergarten through High School ages, and also the Travel League, which provides more competitive playing opportunities for children that are Under 9, Under 10, Under 11, and Under 12.

All children of the appropriate age that either live or attend school in the Fayetteville Manlius School district may sign up to play in the FM Soccer League for the fall (at June registration) or spring (at January registration) seasons.   These same players may try out for the FM Travel teams at the annual June try outs.

During a specific fall or spring season, any player in the FM soccer club may either play in the recreation league or the travel league, but may not play in both.

See the recreation and travel sections of the website for more information on each playing opportunity.
